This left me unemployed for a few months. During this time, I was left alone ALL day with my new wife's cat of old-PATRICK. My new "Red- Headed Step-Cat" Patrick, was the jealous type, he never even liked it when I was there to visit, let alone being there day in and day out. The cat's continuous antics almost led our marriage down the path of destruction. I would have to wear knee high boots around the house to protect my feet from this menace. Thoughts of how to cure this feline of his constantly wanting to amputate my toes and shred my shins were racing through my mind. My employed wife would go off to work every morning and return home only to ask how my day went with Patrick. Hurting Patrick would have been grounds for divorce-so I started writing down one thing every day that I "Wanted" to do to the cat and gave it to my wife when she got home from work. She and I would then laugh about them over dinner! By writing these torments down, I never hurt my cat. By you reading them, maybe you won't hurt yours either. If you like Tom and Jerry & Itchy and Scratchy, you will LOVE this Tongue-In-Cheek-Farce! I'm sure someone will comment that this is just an absurd, humorous book. That I need to lighten up.There are illustrations and descriptions of burning, microwaving, drowning, freezing, beating, electrocuting, etc. your cat. This isn't funny "in any language". Can't return for full price, so it's going right in the garbage.
This book is sick.

OMG!!! Patrick is going to be the most Famous Cat in the world!! Too Too FUNNY!!! This Book is so "over the top" Hilarious, you can't even fathom. It is written in Both English and Spanish...Seriously?! The Illustrations are absolutely Priceless. I have cats, and I LOVE my cats...but I have to get this for some of my friends who Hate cats. The endorsements at the end are so Frickin-Funny Too!!! I just LOVED It !!! Even the "Authors" names Cracked me up!!!
39 Ways to Torment Your Cat is a tongue in cheek approach to handling what sounds like "the Cat from Hell." The illustrations are hilarious and poorly executed, which lends itself to the "underground" feel of the book. I am a cat lover and found the book ridiculous and humorous at the same time. The disclaimer, "No pets were harmed in the writing of this book" permits the reader to enjoy the book without fear of a visit from PETA. The first time I read it, I was on the floor in tears laughing. Anyone who knows me will tell you I am an animal advocate and I adore cats. If reading this book will prevent animals from getting harmed like it claims then I am all for it! It's a great gag gift for anyone.
