It Good to Laugh and Cry eBook Molly Brown Reviews
The author shares moments in her life which range from totally embarrassing to deeply sad. The embarrassing she treats with a deprecating hilarity which had me saying "Yes, I have felt just like that" as I laughed not at her but with her until tears ran. In her sadder sections she shares her grief at two of life's greatest losses, a dear father and a loved pet. Molly poses a question "why is it that people can sometimes cry more easily for a pet than a loved person". Thoughout the book we are aware of the love and mutual support between Lucy and Blue Eyes. By the end the book I realized once again that it is indeed good to laugh and cry.
These stories were presented in such a way that I felt like I was part of them. I laughed, I cried. I hope Molly Brown follows this up with many other stories.
This series of short stories are thoroughly entertaining. Each story paints a clear picture of the laughter and joy life offer to those willing to open their eyes to it. I've enjoyed reading these stories multiple times already. Keep up the wonderful story telling!
